Jessica Yakubowicz Herzig is principal of Jessica Herzig Art Advisory, a full-service consultancy firm that works with corporate and private clients on both emerging and blue-chip curatorial collections, and rotating art exhibitions. She works with clients internationally, and is focused on helping them build meaningful art collections that reflect their unique lifestyle and tastes.
Prior to launching JHAA, Jessica spent five years working at Sotheby’s New York headquarters in the office of the Chairman of North and South America. During this time, Jessica collaborated closely with the executive team on global marketing initiatives and major auctions; organized the activities and annual art travel program of its International Advisory Board; and worked as Exhibition Coordinator on multi-departmental private selling exhibitions.
In July 2011, Jessica returned to her hometown of Toronto, joining Sotheby’s Canada office as Client Liaison, where she coordinated auctions and private treaty sales, traveling exhibitions, and strategic corporate partnerships.
Jessica earned her Bachelor’s degree in History and Art History at Emory University in Atlanta. After working as Assistant Director at a contemporary art gallery in New York City, in 2007 she completed her Master’s degree in Art Business at the Sotheby’s Institute, during which time she worked in the Development department at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.
She travels frequently to international art fairs and exhibitions, and has spoken on the art market to audiences in Canada and the United States. When not abroad on art safari, Jessica is based in Toronto.
